is an unincorporated census-designated community to the east of Santa
Barbara and is known to be one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the
country. Many celebrities and wealthy business people live in the
sprawling multi-million dollar estates that dot the hillside. The
historical landmark Santa Barbara Biltmore Hotel resides here, as does
the lesser-known but equally lavish and elegant San Ysidro Ranch.
Montecito consists of two main areas; upper and lower village. Upper
village is closer to the mountains and has a beautiful view. It has a
quaint little pharmacy and post office along with a few restraunts which
lend to its small town feel. Lower village is also beautiful and is
where a lot of the shopping in Montecito can be done. While still
keeping the small town image it has many small boutiques and upscale
restaurants along Coast Village road that are great for an afternoon of
